Anon.Notes
A notebook at an address you pick, behind a password you pick. Write on your phone, read it on the laptop you would rather not sign in on.
Before you write anything in it
- The password is the note. Your text is encrypted with a key derived from it, and nothing that could undo that is kept here. Lose the password and the note is gone - we cannot reset it, mail it to you, or read it for you.
- Anyone with the address and the password can read and change the note. That is the whole design: it is what lets the other device in without an account.
- A note is deleted after 180 days without being opened. Opening it resets the clock, so one you actually use never expires.
- Images live on this server, encrypted like the text - not on the CDN the file host uses. Up to 5 MB each, and they are compressed on the way in where that does not cost quality.
- It is a notebook, not a messenger and not a backup. Keep the only copy of something that matters somewhere you control.
